You're qualified. You've got the certificate on the wall. But there's a gap between what you learned and what you feel when a client sits down.
The induction that worked perfectly in training feels clunky with a nervous, fidgety client. You're not sure how deep they are. You're not sure whether to deepen, test, or press on. You default to the safe script because it's the one you trust — and the session is fine, but it isn't what you know you're capable of.
And when a client throws you something unexpected — an abreaction, a "nothing happened", a "I don't think I was under" — you feel it in your stomach.
